In December 2014 a local Real Estate Broker's home was raided for growing 20 marijuana plants. This Broker owns a property management company. The Broker wasn't arrested because they had done their homework and used a 'fall guy' to take the blame. Everyone else that resides in the home corroborated this story so there was only one arrest (for now). Knowledge doesn't constitute a crime. Nice loop hole.
So all you wannabe growers out there need to know that if you can appoint a 'fall guy' and that 'fall guy' keeps his trap shut, you'll walk away free and clear. Although John Gotti also had this theory and look what happened to him!
I'll refrain from naming names, but it seems the 'grass is literally greener on the other side'
I wonder if they gave out free joints to tenants who paid their rent on time :)
